How does the Unosand System work?

Special hubs with keyways or grooves are used to hold Tampico brushes fitted with abrasive fingers or strips.

These hubs are contained within a variety of sanding and denibbing machines and used extensively all around the world in the preparation and finishing process for a vast selection of industries from furniture producers to turbine blade manufacturers.

The Tampico fibre is a naturally occurring product and when treated and made into brushes it retains its integrity and dimension. It is strong and yet will not scratch and will retain some memory, returning to vertical when not under load, therefore reaching directly to the heart of the sanding, denibbing or de-burring situation.

A complete range of flexible sanding strips are available from 22mm to 87mm high (standard manufactured lengths are 2000mm).

By combining different slits and often incorporating a selection of additional support brushes either Aluminium Oxide or Silicon Carbide sanding strips will guarantee a perfect finish.

The Tampico backed abrasive fingers slot into keyways of straight or spiral grooved hubs. Through a combination of the correct brush height, abrasive grit size and blade dimension (the slit) the Unosanding strips offer one of the best solutions in the abrasive brush sanding industry sector.
