To get the most from veneers, the fibres need to be flattened to get the ideal surface ready
for finishes such as lacquer. Wider blades can be used for surface preparation as well as for
denibbing between coats.

Tips:
Sand the grain from both directions, use a minimum of two counter rotating rollers. Ideally
reproduce the random orbital effect of a palm sander by utilizing the eccentric disc technology
of the Loewer DiscMaster type equipment.
Use fine grit sizes of two grades e.g. A280+S320 for example. Model P42/2 sanding strips or
sometimes the shorter model P32/2 will help here. If necessary reintroduce a roller following
the discs with the same grit size.
